Last Week of November Events

#choosekind week continues as adults will continue to track acts of kindness made by the students to each other. This tracking is being used to help us reach our goal of 5000 acts of kindness by Christmas break!

Hat n’Stache Day – Friday November 30th!  Many students have asked Mr. Petrella why he is growing a moustache – the answer is simple – for Movember. Students can join him by wearing a hat and a moustache on Friday. They are also asked to bring in a $1 to participate.

Angel Tree – we are well into the campaign! Thank you everyone for your donations. A reminder to bring all unwrapped gifts into the library and place it under the Angel Tree in the library by next Tuesday, December 4.

Sara Westbrook Postponed due to Weather

Sara Westbrook Presentation will be postponed this evening. Date TBD.

There is another weather advisory for this evening: “Winter weather travel advisory in effect for this afternoon and evening.

Lake effect flurries and brief snow squalls will dump fresh snow across the region this afternoon and evening. Snowfall amounts will range from a couple cm to locally as high as 10 cm.

In addition, strong northwesterly winds will whip up freshly fallen snow and cause sudden very low visibility in blowing and drifting snow.

Poor winter driving conditions are anticipated. Motorists should drive according to the road and weather conditions and allow extra time to reach their destination.

The flurries and brief snow squalls will taper off later tonight as winds diminish to light.”

Dressing for the Weather

WINTER WEATHER IS UPON US!

A friendly reminder to layer your children and have them dress appropriately for the weather.

Winter coats, toques, scarves, mitts and boots are a must!

We are outside for 40 min at lunch and we wish for the children to stay warm.

Labelling your children’s items will help to ensure they are returned if lost.
