As such, on Friday February 8th students are encouraged to wear either their Canada clothing or an outfit that recognizes their heritage.

Monday February 18th is Family Day in Ontario this year.

This is a holiday Monday and the school and office will be closed.

Enjoy your long weekend.

We have received many concerns from our neighbours around parking.

A few friendly reminders:

a) the school parking lot is reserved for staff only from the hours of 8:00 – 4:00 pm. We do not have enough spaces for staff as it is. Please do not take up a spot, idling your vehicle waiting to drop off your child.

b) we have a kiss and drop off for parents at the roundabout at the back of the school. For efficiency, the driver should not get out of the vehicle at all. Children may exit the vehicle on the passenger side and staff are present to ensure they walk about safely to the playground. Please do not drop off your child before the playground area (ie by the dumpster) as this increases the risk of injury to the children.

c) for those parents who exit the vehicle with the children and escort them to the playground or kindergarten area, there is ample street parking where signs are located. Please do not block or use the neighbours driveways.

d) School Council is addressing this issue and will be working with Student Transportation and Bylaw Officers to study the impact on the neighbourhood at drop off and pick up times.
