Angel Tree

We are excited to celebrate the Christmas Angel Tree again this year. We are asking that families who are choosing to participate in this initiative donate newly purchased Teddy Bears/Stuffed Animals only. Stuffed animals are appreciated by boys and girls so there is no need to buy for a specific gender or age. Please send in any Teddy Bears/Stuffed Animals with your child(ren) and they will be able to add it to our collection under the Christmas Tree in the Learning Commons.  This will help to build the excitement of the Christmas season and demonstrate the spirit of giving.

This event will begin this Friday December 1st and run until Wednesday December 20th!

The Teddy Bears/Stuffed Animals donations will be sent to the Pediatric Wing of our  local Hospitals.  We hope to spread some Christmas cheer for families who are spending their holidays there. We thank you for your support and help with this initiative.

Winter Clothing Reminder

Now that the colder weather is upon us, please ensure your child is dressed each day to play outside at recess. Students are outside for all regular outside activities when it is warmer than -19°C. When temperatures range between -20°C to -27°C, students may remain outside for no longer than 15-minute intervals, once temperatures are colder than -28°C students must remain inside.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind parents that their children must come to school with proper winter wear for outside recess. This includes:

  • Winter Hat

  • Gloves

  • Coat

  • Scarf

  • Boots

  • Snow Pants

Students are encouraged to pack extra clothing and accessories in their backpacks for the winter season!

Thank you!

Student Pick-Up Times Reminder

Just a reminder to parents/guardians to please notify the school in the morning regarding personal appointments/early pick-ups.  Letting the school know (via email or phone call) in advance of the appointment can assist us in getting the children prepared prior to your arrival. Students will be released from the classroom and are then asked to wait in the office, parents/guardians are to come into the school to sign them out.

We want to minimize the disruptions to the classrooms, therefore whenever possible it is best if parents/guardians can plan to pick up their children at the natural break times.  If you pick your children up before/after recess periods, your children will already be dressed for the weather, and are not pulled out in the middle of a lesson.  School hours are noted below.
